Bryn Anderson taught in the Siren School District for 38 years and retired at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and her Masters of Science in Education degree from the University of Wisconsin River Falls. She is a member of NAfME (National Association for Music Education) and WMEA (Wisconsin Music Educators Association). In 2016 she was awarded the Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowship award. In addition to teaching 5th-12th grade band students, she directed 11 musicals while at Siren. She is passionate about music education and music performance and hopes she has inspired students to love it too! Her other duties at school included being a Middle School volleyball coach and the district Facilities Director.
Bryn has been a long time member of the Northwinds British Brass Band based out of Rice Lake where she plays percussion. She plays clarinet in the Bill Bittner Memorial Dixieland Band and the Dan Zimmer Polka Band. She directs the Siren Community Band. She also enjoys being a member of her church worship praise band. This will be her 4th WAM trip.
Bryn’s hobbies include traveling, crafting, cooking, gardening, reading and being outside as much as possible. She enjoys spending time with her daughter Riley who is a WAM alumni. She also feels blessed to have a close group of family and friends to share all her adventures with!
