Eric Kringle serves as Director of Bands at Hayward High School in Hayward, Wisconsin. Now in his 28th year of teaching, he has worked in multiple school districts, where his ensembles have consistently earned top ratings. At Hayward, he directs the concert band, jazz band, and marching band, and also provides private instruction.
An active musician beyond the classroom, Mr. Kringle has performed as a trombonist with numerous community ensembles, including The Dean’s List Big Band Jazz Orchestra, the Red Cedar Symphony Orchestra, and the Northwoods British Brass Band. He is also an accomplished vocalist and a member of the outreach ensemble Ave Generosa, where he sings first tenor and contributes as an arranger, transcriber, and composer.
Mr. Kringle has been involved with the Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music since 2006, initially serving as trombone coach and as a member of the staff brass quintet. In 2021, he was appointed as one of Wisconsin’s State Coordinators.
He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Wisconsin–Superior and a Master of Education degree from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse.
Outside of his professional work, Mr. Kringle values time with his two sons, Kyle and Matthew, and his wife Aimee.
