John Krull is a 6-12 choral music educator in his sixth year of teaching. Having previously taught at the Barron for 5 years, he is now the director at Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District. At G-E-T he directs a 6th grade choir, a 7/8 choir, and a 9-12 choir as well as two a cappella groups, Vocal Point and Out of the Blue. This will be John’s second trip with WAM.

A 2016 high school graduate of Hampton-Dumont in Iowa, John went on to earn a Bachelor of Music Education degree in 2020 from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Throughout his education he performed in multiple theater productions and toured nationally and internationally with multiple choral ensembles.

John is passionate about teaching his students the tools to create and perform any kind of music that moves them. Outside of music, he is also a track coach, nature enthusiast, and he’s always eager to learn more about the world.
