Sam Clemmons is a native of Portage, WI whose philosophy centers on providing opportunities for arts advancement in rural communities.
Clemmons received his Bachelor’s of Music Education in voice and piano from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in 2020. He currently serves as the Choir and General music teacher at Bartels Middle School in Portage where he directs the 6-8 choirs and a modern band class.
Clemmons serves as the Artistic Director of the Choral Arts Series at Portage Center for the Arts and conducts the Zona Gale Singers and Candlelight Ladies. He also serves as a member of the PCA Executive Committee as the Vice President. Clemmons is on staff as the Director of Music at St. Mary Catholic Church in Portage.
He is in high demand as a regional pianist, clinician and performer. He serves as an adjudicator for WSMA district and state festivals, as well as HS State Honors auditions. Clemmons has also recently accepted the appointment to the Wisconsin Middle Level Honors Choir as the Bass Section Coach and as a Vocal Coach with the Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music.
He is grateful for his family for their continued support of his endeavors and for all the supporters of music opportunities and advancement.
