Mark has been a high school band director for 32 years and is currently in his 23rd year as the Instrumental Music Director at Dodgeville High School, where he teaches Concert Band, Marching Band, Orchestra, Music Appreciation, Music Theory and a Rock and Roll class called Garage Band. Mark received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and holds a Masters Degree from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago.


Mark has previously toured as a staff member with the Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music on five European tours as a low brass coach. He has served as brass coach for the Wisconsin State Honors Orchestra, instrumental audition judge for the Kids From Wisconsin and is still active as a professional trombonist in Southern Wisconsin, having performed with the Madison Neophonic Jazz Orchestra, The Nutcracker Pit Orchestra, The Driftless Bones and the Class Brass Quintet. Mark was a long time member of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps, where he served as Baritone Soloist, Drum Major and Brass Instructor.


Mark resides in Dodgeville with his lovely wife, Luci, and his sons Aaron and Noah, who are all former Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music. Mark and his wife love to travel, hike with their dog, Blue, enjoy kayaking in the beautiful Driftless Area and cooking delicious food.
